The theme of Christopher Raeburn's first standalone women's presentation was 'freeze' and I can't think of any clothes I would rather wear when the temperatures fall. Lighter than air quilted nylon coats are filled with light weight wadding made from recycled PEP bottles, black nylon bomber jackets are all made from totally recycled Japanese nylon, and lightweight puffas are lined with fleece made from post consumer waste. Felicity Brown showed a divine collection of artisan made, exquisitely handcrafted clothes in an intimate salon presentation. Inspired by the V recent exhibition, 'Quilts 1700 2010' she used traditional quilting techniques to make a timeless collection of hand printed simple tunics, smock tops, peasant skirts and oversized dresses in a subtle palette of burnt orange, mustard and sludgy grey.
